Luis has been drawing since childhood, he studied Fine Arts and over the years his interests focused on different forms of expression, from comic and illustration to hyperrealistic drawing through pop art, expressionism, cubism, abstract, art brut and urban art, but always trying to include in everything he did his own personality and vision, since he considers that art should never be subject to fixed rules. The tattoo world offered him a new kind of expressive support, a canvas with its own composition that starts from it’s own beauty lines that he likes to respect and to which he tries to adapt to. In general, his pieces are black works with, sometimes, a color note added. A constant search for something new and untaggable but based on the techniques and philosophy of traditional tattoo.

Flavius is 27 years old, from Spain, and started tattooing more than 10 years ago. He began by crafting his own tattoo machine and practicing on himself and on friends. His portfolio is mostly based on color realism but he also enjoys doing black and grey tattoos.
Personally, he thinks tattooing is the best job he could have ever asked for, as it gives him the opportunity and the freedom to express himself through his work and art. El negro y el rojo son mis colores favoritos y me gustan mucho las piezas figurativas y abstractas. Los animales, las calaveras y los elementos orgánicos están muy presentes en mi trabajo. Me gusta contar una historia con cada tatuaje, cargarla de simbología e historia, y para eso los recortes geométricos ayudan a hacer el tatuaje más complejo. Los acabados abstractos en rojo y textura están pensados teniendo en cuenta la anatomía del cuerpo, por lo que cuanto más orgánico podamos hacer el proceso, más efectivo será mi estilo.

My Name is Tony Tuan Luong, and I am a tattooer and Urbanartist from Germany, where I started tattooing around early 2013. My passion for art was given to me by my father who was an oil painter from Vietnam, so I was always surrounded by art since I was a child. Anyway I was never that interested by painting in oil, so I found another way to express myself and that was nothing else than Graffiti. While I was trying hard to become just one of the „cool kids“ who are doing Graff, it really fullfilled my life in many ways and gave me over the years many opportunities. So through this I became a tattooer and in my tattoos as well as in my paintings you will always see my roots from Graffiti. Now I am the new resident at Avantgarde Tattoo Collective, but I still travel every second month to Germany. My style is a mix of black and grey realism and abstract elements. Right now I focus a lot in abstract calligraphy, a mix of grunge blackwork and neopunk style with the aesthetics of calligraphy. I always tryout different things to give my clients an original tattoo. Mostly I am influenced by Urbanart, Graffitis, Contemporary and Abstract paintings from the early centuries until nowadays.

Professional tattooer, Artist, wanderer and lover of life: I began my tattoo apprenticeship in 1997 in Colorado and I have not pursued any other career path since. I’ve watched tattooing transform from a subculture into a main stream movement. Along the way I’ve explored many different styles and techniques. I believe tattooing has always had elements of shamanism and ritual, even in contemporary culture today. I like to provide a positive,fun experience and wherever possible I love to share spiritual and philosophical connections with my clients. This doesn’t always happen but the more that I have focused on manifesting these client /Tattooer relationships the more they appear. I also love to laugh and be goofy lol! I focused much of my work in the last few years to several areas: -Black work (including neo tribal, cyber tribal, Maori, and black out) -Neo Traditional (preferably full color designs that have custom framework and flourishing) -Ornamental / geometric -(designs based on sacred geometry)
